For students ages 12-14  and School Teachers wanting to learn more about the environment

Come spend a week with us near beautiful Sun Valley to explore and study
Idaho’s forests, streams, rangelands, soils, and wildlife with expert instructors
who will intrigue and challenge you!

Play in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area

The Natural Resource Camp has been a summer program since 1960.   Spend a week near beautiful Sun Valley exploring and studying Idaho's natural resources. Discover nature's secrets for yourself by conducting experiments and completing outdoor projects.  This is a hands-on camp.   Also enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, volleyball, firearm safety, target shooting, and fireside sing-alongs.   Compete with your friends in the Tournament of the Outdoors.   View a camp video from 2015 at: .

The Idaho Association of Soil Conservation District is proud to help sponsor the Natural Resource Camp and the conservation districts that recruit campers each year.      For more information, please visit the Natural Resource Camp website at   

Many of Idaho's conservation districts sponsor students to attend camp.   Contact your local soil district office for more information. 

For Cassia and Minidoka residents:

Present proof of camp payment to the soil district office before July 6th to be considered for camp scholarship reimbursements

Teachers are encouraged to attend!

Obtain 1-2 graduate credits from the University of Idaho

while learning and relaxing in the wilderness north of Ketchum, Idaho.
